Clever Girl

Last night, Big Sister wasn't exactly compliant as we went about her bedtime routine.

Finally, Daddy had to tell her she wasn't going to have time for reading books. This didn't stop her from carrying on her merry way.

He had to add that it would be very sad if she wouldn't have time for books or being rocked. That got her moving.

Once she had her pajamas on, she came into our bedroom to be rocked. Daddy noticed she carried two books. He gently reminded her that she'd lost the privilege of reading.

Without missing a beat, she asked if he'd sing her songs about the books.

She is a clever one, that girl of ours.
